ISLAMABAD: In a significant administrative move, the Islamabad Police has transferred multiple Station House Officers (SHOs) across several police stations in the capital. The reshuffle was reported on Monday and confirmed through a notification issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Syed Ishtiaq Shah.
According to the notification, Syed Ishtiaq Shah appointed new SHOs at key stations, including the Industrial Area Police Station and Karachi Company Police Station. The reshuffle also included the transfer of officers in Golra, Kirpa, and Bhara Kahu police stations as part of an internal administrative adjustment.
Officials confirmed that Imran Haider, Muhammad Kamal, Aamir Hayat, Arshad Ali, and Mehrullah were removed from their posts as SHOs. The decision forms part of a broader effort to streamline policing operations and improve performance across stations.
Following the changes, new postings were announced. Imran was appointed as SHO of Noon Police Station, while Habibullah was transferred from Investigation Hamak Police Station to a new assignment. Several other officers were also reassigned to different operational roles within the department.
Authorities said that officers removed from SHO positions have been directed to report to Police Rescue 15 Close for further assignment. The restructuring aims to strengthen field operations and ensure better law enforcement coordination across Islamabad.
The reshuffle reflects routine administrative changes within the capitalโs police force, where postings are periodically adjusted based on performance reviews, operational requirements, and senior management decisions.
Officials maintain that such transfers are part of standard policing procedures designed to improve efficiency, accountability, and public service delivery across all police stations in the federal capital.
