The latest Mardan Board examination results have raised fresh concerns about academic performance across several schools in the region.
The results show particularly troubling outcomes, with some schools recording extremely low pass rates among their students.
In several cases, not a single student managed to pass the examination, highlighting the difficult academic performance reflected in the results.
Several Schools Record No Successful Candidates
The Class 9 results contain some of the most concerning figures reported from schools in the Mardan Board region.
Government High School Takai in Swabi recorded a complete failure rate, as all 13 students who appeared for the examination reportedly failed.
Similarly, every student from Government College High School Dagai reportedly failed the examination.
The results also showed serious concerns at Government High School Khawrai and Government High School Darwazgai in Nowshera.
Only one student from each of those schools reportedly managed to pass the examination.
Meanwhile, all eight students from Government High School Mazahund Gadun in Swabi reportedly failed their Class 9 examination.
These results show how sharply academic outcomes varied between different schools within the examination system.
High Failure Rates Highlight Wider Concerns
The reported failure rates differed considerably across the schools included in the results.
Some institutions recorded failure rates as high as 89 percent, while others reported failure rates of around 76 percent.
Moreover, nearly a dozen schools had students who failed to secure even 50 percent marks in their examinations.
The figures therefore point to significant differences in student performance across the affected institutions.
The concerns also extend beyond boys’ schools, as several girls’ institutions recorded similarly low pass rates.
At Government Girls High School Mohib Banda, only three of the 59 Class 9 students reportedly passed the examination.
Government Girls Higher Secondary School Akora Khattak in Nowshera also recorded a 94 percent failure rate.
Only two of the school’s 33 students reportedly managed to pass the examination.
Class 10 Results Also Show Low Pass Rates
The Class 10 results have added to concerns surrounding academic performance across several schools.
According to the highlighted results, nine of the 10 schools reportedly failed to achieve a pass rate of at least 50 percent.
Students experienced different levels of difficulty in the examination, with some failing a single subject while others failed multiple subjects.
Government Higher Secondary School Mohabbat Khan in Mardan recorded one of the lowest outcomes highlighted in the results.
Only one of the school’s 27 students reportedly passed the Class 10 examination.
The successful student secured a C grade, while the remaining students did not achieve a passing result.
Mardan Board Results Draw Fresh Attention
The latest figures have once again placed school-level academic performance under scrutiny.
While some schools recorded individual successes, several others struggled to produce successful candidates.
The results also show that low performance affected both boys’ and girls’ institutions across Mardan, Swabi and Nowshera.
As a result, the Mardan Board examination figures have raised fresh questions about the academic outcomes being achieved by students in several schools.
The reported results provide a clear picture of uneven performance, with some institutions recording comparatively better outcomes while others faced exceptionally high failure rates.
