Zara Larsson has proudly declared herself a BTS fan after her recent collaboration with the globally popular K-pop group resurfaced. The Swedish singer discussed her experience working with BTS during a VIP soundcheck Q&A for her Midnight Sun Tour.
Larsson reflected on collaborating with RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga and V on their 2019 track A Brand New Day. She described the experience as “really fun and easy” while discussing how technology helps artists collaborate remotely.
Larsson Praises Her BTS Collaboration Experience
The 28-year-old singer explained that the musicians did not need to meet in person during the recording process. Instead, they exchanged their individual parts remotely before combining their contributions for the song.
Larsson also expressed interest in working with BTS again in the future. When asked whether she considered herself a BTS fan, the Lush Life singer answered with an enthusiastic “Yes!”
The admission has since created a full-circle moment for Larsson and BTS. Their connection gained renewed attention after both acts appeared on the opening night lineup of the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Months after Larsson discussed her BTS connection in Brooklyn, both acts performed at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 18. Their appearance at the major festival brought fresh attention to their earlier musical collaboration.
Meanwhile, Larsson’s comments have delighted BTS ARMY members following the resurfacing of the interview clip. Her willingness to collaborate again also adds excitement for fans hoping to see another project involving the singer and BTS.
