Xiaomi has launched the new Watch S5 41mm in China alongside the Xiaomi 18 Pro series. It is a smaller version of the 46mm model.
The smartwatch is also the first Xiaomi wearable to run HyperOS 4 out of the box.
3,000-Nit AMOLED Display in Compact Design
The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It can reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness, improving visibility outdoors.
The stainless steel watch is 9.9mm thick and weighs 36 grams without the strap. It also features a ceramic bezel and textured crown.
The watch is available in Black, Sea Salt Blue and Ceramic White.
Health Tracking and 150+ Workout Modes
The Watch S5 41mm uses four LEDs and four photodiodes to track heart rate and blood oxygen levels.
It also includes three wrist-temperature sensors with claimed accuracy of ±0.1°C. These sensors support menstrual-cycle tracking and ovulation predictions.
The smartwatch supports more than 150 workout modes. It also features dual-frequency GNSS for accurate route tracking and supports full-color offline maps.
A dedicated skiing mode can track distance, altitude and slope data. The watch can also detect skiing-related falls and trigger alerts or emergency assistance if needed.
HyperOS 4 and Long Battery Life
The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm runs HyperOS 4 and includes an updated WeChat app with voice-to-text and quick-reply features.
It can also connect with Xiaomi smart home devices, smart doorbells and compatible Xiaomi vehicles.
The smartwatch has a 590mAh battery. Xiaomi claims up to 14 days of battery life in restricted-use mode.
Battery life drops to around eight days with standard health monitoring and five days with the always-on display enabled.
The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm starts at $194, while the genuine leather strap version costs $224.
