Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Clip Neo, a new pair of wireless clip-on earbuds offering up to 32 hours of battery life at around half the launch price of its earlier Xiaomi Clip earbuds. The new model debuted in China alongside the Redmi K100 smartphone, targeting users who want a lightweight, open-ear audio experience.
The Redmi Clip Neo costs 399 Chinese yuan, approximately $56, while a limited-edition collaboration package is priced at 449 yuan. The standard model comes in black and white, giving buyers a more affordable option in the growing clip-on earbuds market.
Lightweight Design and Enhanced Audio Features
The Redmi Clip Neo features a C-shaped design that attaches to the outer ear instead of entering the ear canal. Each earbud weighs just 5.3 grams and uses a flexible titanium wire bridge covered with liquid silicone for a comfortable fit.
The company says the flexible structure has passed 25,000 bending tests. Moreover, users can wear either earbud on either ear, while automatic wear detection pauses playback when an earbud is removed.
For audio, the earbuds feature 12mm dual-magnetic drivers designed to deliver stronger sound output. Users can customise their listening experience through four equaliser presets and a 10-band equaliser.
The earbuds also include dual microphones with AI noise reduction to improve call clarity. Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity allows them to connect to two devices simultaneously.
Battery Life and Smart Connectivity
The Redmi Clip Neo offers up to seven hours of playback on a single charge. With the charging case, total battery life increases to 32 hours, while a USB Type-C port handles charging.
Physical buttons provide controls for music playback, calls and voice assistants. Additionally, compatible Xiaomi devices running HyperOS can access extra features, including the Super XiaoAI assistant and tools for locating misplaced earbuds.
The earbuds also work with iPhones through Xiaomi’s companion application. However, the company has not announced an international release date, so availability outside China remains uncertain.
