CHICAGO: Motorola has officially launched its premium Signature 27 smartphone, featuring a massive 7,000mAh battery, a 200-megapixel camera and an advanced processor. However, its $1,599 starting price has attracted considerable attention, placing the device among the most expensive conventional flagship smartphones.
Announced on November 5, 2026, the Signature 27 succeeds the original Signature model with major improvements in performance, photography, battery capacity and display technology.

The smartphone features a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Motorola claims its new tandem display can achieve peak brightness of 12,000 nits under specific testing conditions.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, the device offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage in selected markets. It runs Android 17 and promises seven years of major software and security updates.
Photography is another major attraction. The Signature 27 includes a 50MP main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. A dedicated motion sensor helps capture fast-moving subjects, while the 50MP front camera supports 4K video recording.
The 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Motorola says its charging technology can deliver up to 12 hours of battery life in just 12 minutes under specified conditions.
Additional features include IP68 and IP69 water resistance, Bang & Olufsen audio and planned support for the privacy-focused GrapheneOS operating system.
The phone will become available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from November 16. US preorders are scheduled for November 19.
Motorola has not announced official pricing or availability for Pakistan.
