Authorities confirm casualty and emergency response
A man lost his life while another sustained critical injuries after wild boars attacked them in the Sarbala Salmia area of Chakar Town in Hattian Bala district, according to local officials on Monday.
Authorities identified the deceased as Mohammad Rafiq, while Mohammad Akram suffered severe injuries during the incident. Officials said the attack occurred suddenly and created panic among residents in the surrounding area.
Following the incident, rescue teams and local authorities responded to the situation and shifted the injured man for urgent medical treatment. Due to the seriousness of his condition, authorities transferred Akram to Muzaffarabad for advanced medical care.
Meanwhile, local residents expressed growing concern over the increasing movement of wild animals into populated areas and raised questions about public safety measures in affected communities.

The incident also triggered strong reactions from local residents, who gathered to protest against the administration and the wildlife department after the attack.
Furthermore, citizens demanded immediate action to prevent wild animals from entering residential areas located near forests and hilly regions. Protesters urged authorities to adopt stronger monitoring and control mechanisms to protect communities from similar incidents in the future.
Residents stated that encounters involving wild animals have created fear among people living close to forested zones, particularly in areas where human settlements and wildlife habitats exist near one another.
Additionally, citizens called on authorities to introduce practical measures, including stronger wildlife management strategies and protective systems aimed at reducing risks to residents.
