LAHORE: Pakistani actor and television host Imran Ashraf has defended fellow actor Danish Taimoor amid criticism of his performance in the drama serial *Nashtar*, urging social media users to consider his years of work before judging his career based on a single scene.
In a video posted on Instagram, Imran said he usually avoids commenting on controversies involving other artists. However, he felt compelled to speak after seeing the level of trolling directed at Danish over his performance.
Imran said artists often face intense criticism on social media, but audiences should remember their overall contribution rather than focusing entirely on one disputed or widely discussed scene.
He highlighted Danish’s lengthy career in the Pakistani entertainment industry and encouraged viewers to revisit some of his earlier projects. Among them, he mentioned *Band Khirkiyon Ke Peeche* and *Raju Rocket*, while also pointing to several of Danish’s television dramas that have attracted millions of views.
According to Imran, Danish has built a substantial body of work over the years and earned recognition from audiences both in Pakistan and abroad.
He stressed that an actor’s professional journey should not be dismissed because of one performance that generates controversy or receives criticism online.
Imran also called for greater compassion when discussing artists on social media, suggesting that viewers should consider the years of effort and dedication behind an established actor’s career.
His comments come as Danish continues to face criticism online over his role in *Nashtar*, with social media users debating his performance and the controversial scene.
