ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina have agreed to develop a roadmap aimed at turning their existing science and technology cooperation into practical initiatives.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Emin Ohodarevi, and Federal Secretary for Science and Technology Shahid Iqbal Baloch.
The discussions focused on implementing a Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year between the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan’s National Metrology Institute.
The agreement provides a framework for strengthening technical and institutional cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ohodarevi presented Bosnia’s proposed roadmap for advancing collaboration under the MoU. Both sides discussed metrology, technical expertise, institutional capacity building, expert exchanges and other areas of mutual interest.
Baloch assured the ambassador that the Ministry of Science and Technology would provide necessary support to implement the agreed areas of cooperation.
The ministry will examine the proposed roadmap and coordinate with Pakistan’s National Metrology Institute to determine the next steps and establish an implementation framework.
Both sides also agreed to maintain regular communication to ensure timely progress on the planned activities.
The cooperation is expected to create opportunities for greater exchange of technical knowledge and expertise between Pakistani and Bosnian institutions.
The initiative also provides a foundation for strengthening bilateral ties in science, technology and innovation through joint activities, professional exchanges and institutional collaboration.
