Gwadar police have arrested 14 Pakistani nationals for allegedly entering Pakistan illegally from Iran through a sea route. Police sources said the arrests came during a targeted operation in the coastal district.
The individuals reportedly belong to several areas across Pakistan, including Hafizabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Gujrat and Kurram.
Authorities have handed the arrested individuals over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The agency will now take further legal action according to the relevant laws.
Police Launch Operation Against Illegal Cross-Border Movement
The operation followed instructions from DIG Makran Imran Qureshi and SSP Gwadar Atta-ur-Rehman Khan. SHO Gwadar Bashir Ahmed supervised the action.
Police took the 14 individuals into custody after allegedly finding them involved in illegal cross-border movement from Iran.
The authorities later transferred the suspects to the FIA for further investigation and legal proceedings. The agency will determine the next steps based on the findings of its investigation.
The arrests involve Pakistani nationals from different regions, showing the geographical spread of people allegedly attempting irregular entry through the coastal route.
