WASHINGTON: The official White House account on X has posted an AI-generated video portraying President Donald Trump as DC Comics superhero Green Lantern, continuing the administration’s use of artificial intelligence in its social media messaging.
The White House accompanied the clip with the Green Lantern Corps oath, ending with a reference to “Green Lantern’s light.”
The video shows Trump wearing a suit and wielding a glowing green power ring resembling the fictional weapon used by Green Lantern characters.
Video Links Superhero Imagery With Trump Policies
In one sequence, Trump uses the ring to create a large glowing wall across a desert, with people standing on the opposite side. The imagery appears to reference the administration’s border and immigration policies.
Meanwhile, another scene features factories beneath an “American Manufacturing” sign. Military ships, fighter jets and helicopters also appear as creations generated through the fictional ring’s powers.
The clip ends with Trump displaying the glowing ring while military aircraft and ships appear behind him.
Additionally, the video uses Kanye West’s “Flashing Lights” as its soundtrack.
No Official DC Collaboration Announced
The White House post did not mention DC Studios, Warner Bros. Discovery or any official collaboration involving the Green Lantern character.
Moreover, its timing attracted attention because HBO is currently airing “Lanterns,” a television series featuring DC’s Green Lantern characters, including Hal Jordan and John Stewart. However, no connection between the programme and the White House video has been announced.
The latest clip follows previous AI-generated posts from the Trump White House featuring fictional characters and other pop-culture imagery.
Reports have documented the administration’s growing use of AI-generated material for online political messaging. However, the White House has not publicly identified who created the latest Green Lantern video.
