ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has announced that his sons, Sulaiman and Qasim, will join the party’s protest campaign after returning from the United States.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail following a meeting with her brother and his wife, Bushra Bibi, Aleema revealed that Imran Khan has categorically rejected the idea of negotiations and has instead called for a full-scale protest movement. He aims for the campaign to culminate on August 5 — marking two years since his imprisonment.
“The founder has delivered a clear message — the nation must prepare for a strong and decisive protest,” Aleema stated, flanked by her sisters. “He said those who cannot handle the pressure of this movement should step aside now.”
Khan’s Sons Acting on Their Own
Aleema clarified that although Qasim and Sulaiman are currently in the U.S., they have informed their father of their decision to participate in the protest upon their return.
“We tried to dissuade them earlier as well,” she said. “But they are not asking for permission — they are simply informing him of their choice.”
Family United Behind the Movement
Aleema Khan reaffirmed that the entire family stands firmly behind Imran Khan and is committed to actively supporting the upcoming protest campaign.
“All of us will be part of it,” she said. “This is no longer just a political battle — it’s a fight for justice and the future of Pakistan.”
