Pakistan’s security forces killed 17 militants during two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, while a soldier lost his life in an intense gunbattle.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on November 1, 2026, in Kachhi and Kharan districts.
The military confirmed the developments on Tuesday, November 3, highlighting continued counterterrorism efforts across the province.
Security Forces Foil Roadblock Attempt in Kachhi
The first operation took place in the Sanni area of Kachhi district.
Security personnel targeted militants allegedly attempting to establish a roadblock.
During the operation, 10 militants were killed, successfully preventing the reported plan.
Troops also recovered weapons and ammunition from the area.
Seven More Militants Killed in Kharan Operation
In a separate operation, security forces raided a suspected militant hideout in Kharan district.
An intense exchange of gunfire resulted in the deaths of seven militants.
However, the confrontation also claimed the life of a Pakistani soldier.
Sepoy Hikmat Ullah, aged 25, from Karak district, lost his life during the exchange of fire.
Security forces recovered additional weapons and ammunition from the hideout.
ISPR Vows Continued Counterterrorism Operations
The military identified the targeted militants as members of groups it described as Fitna Al Hindustan and Fitna Al Khawarij.
ISPR alleged that the groups received Indian sponsorship.
Security personnel have launched further clearance operations to locate any remaining militants.
The military reiterated its commitment to the Azm-e-Istehkam counterterrorism initiative.
Authorities said operations against militant networks would continue to strengthen security and prevent further attacks across Pakistan.
