Ontario Premier Reacts to the Attack

Incident Follows Recent Deadly Shootings in Canada
The Toronto shooting comes only weeks after another fatal shooting in Montreal, where two people, including a police officer, were killed.
In that incident, law enforcement officers later shot and killed the attacker.
Earlier this year, Canada also witnessed a deadly school shooting in the western mining town of Tumbler Ridge.
The attack claimed eight lives, including the shooter’s mother and half-brother. It also left 27 people injured before the shooter took her own life.
The latest shooting at Toronto’s salsa festival has once again raised concerns following a series of deadly violent incidents across the country.
Meanwhile, investigators continue searching for the suspect and examining the circumstances surrounding the attack. Authorities have not yet released further information about the gunman or a possible motive.
