China has introduced a female-designed humanoid robot that closely resembles a human in both appearance and movement. The latest innovation combines realistic silicone skin with emotional artificial intelligence, making it suitable for companionship and several professional applications.
The robot was unveiled by Chinese technology company UBTECH during its global launch event in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on June 30. It belongs to the company’s new full-size hyper-bionic UWORLD U1 series.
Human-Like Skin Designed With Remarkable Detail
One of the robot’s most striking features is its silicone skin, which closely mimics the texture of human flesh.
According to UBTECH, the realism extends to even the smallest physical details. The company said the knees were deliberately crafted to have the naturally rough texture found on a real human body. This attention to detail gives the humanoid a more lifelike appearance than conventional robots.
The female-styled design is intended to create more natural and realistic human interaction.

Emotional AI Built for Long-Term Companionship
The UWORLD U1 series features an emotional AI model designed for long-term companionship.
According to the company, the robot can accurately recognize more than 20 subtle human emotions. As a result, it can respond more naturally during conversations and everyday interactions.
This emotional recognition system aims to improve communication between humans and robots across different environments.
Proprietary Technology Powers the Robot
UBTECH said the humanoid combines several proprietary technologies into one integrated platform.
These include bionic skin, embodied intelligence hardware, an advanced operating system, an emotional AI model, and mass production capabilities.
Together, these technologies allow the robot to deliver smoother movements and more realistic responses.
Robot Can Perform Most Basic Human Movements
According to the company, the UWORLD U1 can perform 90 percent of basic human movements.
In addition, it can display subtle facial expressions that make interactions appear more natural.
These expressions include blinking, smiling, and tilting its head while communicating with users.
Consequently, the robot offers a more engaging experience during conversations.
Designed for a Wide Range of Applications
UBTECH developed the humanoid for several practical uses.
The company says the robot is suitable for daily companionship, emotional support, reception services, hospitality, cultural tourism, exhibitions, scientific research, and education.
Its combination of realistic appearance and emotional intelligence allows it to serve in both personal and commercial settings.
Strong Demand Follows Global Launch
The company also reported significant market interest following the product’s introduction.
The latest launch highlights China’s continued progress in humanoid robotics. It also demonstrates the growing focus on combining realistic human-like design with advanced artificial intelligence for future real-world applications.
