Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram’s missing pet dog, Duke, has been recovered after an extensive search in Karachi. The family confirmed the positive development after days of public appeals. Moreover, two individuals received the announced Rs250,000 cash reward for helping locate the dog.
Wasim Akram and his wife, Shaniera Akram, had earlier requested public assistance after Duke disappeared from DHA Phase 8. They shared the appeal through their official Instagram accounts and promised a cash reward for credible information.
According to Shaniera Akram, Duke was last seen on Sunday in DHA Phase 8. The missing puppy is a five-month-old black German Shepherd. Consequently, the family urged residents to remain alert and assist the search.
Meanwhile, the family filed a formal missing complaint with local police. Officers launched search efforts while residents shared the appeal across social media platforms. As a result, awareness about the missing puppy spread quickly.
Shaniera Akram had expressed concern that Duke could be frightened after becoming separated from his family. Therefore, she encouraged nearby residents to inspect parks, streets, rooftops, garages, and surrounding areas carefully.
