Mid-August Launch Expected
Vivo may be preparing to launch the Vivo V80 series as early as next month, according to a new leak. The company introduced the Vivo V70 earlier this year, but its successor could arrive with a major battery upgrade and several premium features.
The Vivo V series usually makes its way to the Pakistani market. This means the Vivo V80 is also expected to launch in Pakistan after its official debut. However, Vivo has not yet confirmed the launch date or specifications.
According to a tipster on X, the Vivo V80 series could be unveiled in mid-August. The standard Vivo V80 is expected to bring upgrades in battery capacity, display quality, durability, and charging speed.
Bigger Battery and Faster Charging
The biggest expected upgrade is the battery. The Vivo V80 may feature a massive 7,200mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. This would make it a major improvement over the Vivo V70 and could attract users who want long battery life.
The phone is also tipped to feature a 6.59-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution. The screen may support a 144Hz refresh rate, making it smoother for gaming, scrolling, and video playback.
In terms of performance, the Vivo V80 could retain the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset used in the previous model. This means the phone may not receive a major processor upgrade, but it could still offer strong performance for daily use.
Camera Setup and Premium Features
The Vivo V80 is expected to keep a triple rear camera setup. The leaked configuration includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone may include a 50MP front camera.
Other leaked features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an aluminium alloy frame, and an IP69 dust and water resistance rating. These features could make the Vivo V80 more durable and premium compared to many mid-range smartphones.
Vivo has not officially confirmed the V80 lineup yet. The expected mid-August launch and leaked specifications should be treated as early information until the company makes an official announcement.
