Vivo is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated V60 smartphone in India next month, with the official teaser campaign now in full swing. Although the exact release date remains unconfirmed, recent leaks suggest the launch could take place on either August 12 or August 19. Adding to the excitement, Vivo has unveiled a dedicated microsite highlighting key features of the V60, offering a first official look at the upcoming device.
A standout feature of the V60 is its portrait photography capabilities, which will be enhanced by its co-branding with Zeiss, the renowned optics company. This partnership aims to elevate the V60’s imaging experience, particularly in portrait shots—positioning the phone as a photography-centric flagship in Vivo’s lineup.
One of the headline features officially confirmed by Vivo is the V60’s battery. The smartphone is set to debut as “India’s slimmest smartphone with a 6,500 mAh battery,” promising an ultra-thin design that doesn’t compromise on endurance. This slim profile is likely to appeal to users seeking both style and functionality in a daily-use device.
In terms of aesthetics, the V60 will be available in three distinct color options: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Gray. The phone also features an equal-depth quad-curved display, enhancing its ergonomic appeal and delivering a premium look from every angle.
Although Vivo has only teased a handful of official specifications, earlier leaks and rumors have provided a more complete picture of what to expect. The V60 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and may come equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,300 nits peak brightness.
Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a powerful triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. On the front, a 50 MP selfie camera will cater to high-quality video calls and self-portraits.
Battery life will be further enhanced by 90W fast charging support, and the V60 is rumored to include additional flagship features such as an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
Interestingly, industry insiders suggest that the V60 could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S30, which was previously launched in China. If true, this would align with Vivo’s typical global product strategy of rebranding and localizing devices for specific markets.
With its blend of elegant design, robust camera capabilities, and high-end hardware, the Vivo V60 is shaping up to be a compelling option in the premium mid-range smartphone segment. As anticipation builds ahead of its official launch, all eyes will be on Vivo to see if the device lives up to the growing hype.
