Mufti Qavi briefly returns to retrieve forgotten bag before leaving premises.
According to the footage, Mufti Abdul Qavi was sitting in the Darul Ifta of Jamia Hafsa, having tea with a group of scholars, when Maulana Abdul Aziz suddenly entered the room visibly armed and enraged. Without any formal exchange, the cleric ordered Mufti Qavi to leave immediately, warning, “Get out or I’ll shoot you.”
The video shows a visibly shaken Mufti Qavi hastily leaving the room. During the heated encounter, Maulana Abdul Aziz hurled severe allegations against Qavi, calling him a “thug” and threatening further action if he returned to the mosque. “If you come again, I’ll have you tied up and flogged,” he was heard saying.
Footage also shows Maulana Abdul Aziz walking toward the Darul Ifta holding a rifle and accompanied by armed guards. Upon arrival, he harshly confronted Mufti Qavi, repeating his threats and declaring, “I’ll shoot him. He’s a thug.”
Mufti Abdul Qavi briefly returned to the premises to retrieve a forgotten bag before leaving once again. Speaking to the media afterward, he explained that he had come to Lal Masjid for Friday prayers and had been invited by mosque scholars to discuss a religious issue when the confrontation took place.
“Maulana Abdul Aziz has expelled me from the house of God,” he said.
Meanwhile, Maulana Abdul Aziz strongly condemned Mufti Qavi’s presence and issued a firm warning to others.
“Anyone seen associating with him in the future will face consequences,” he declared.
“He is not a respectable individual. He should be punished wherever he is found,” Maulana Abdul Aziz alleged. “He boasts about multiple marriages and promotes beliefs that amount to creating his own version of religion,” he added.
