KARACHI: A high-level United States business delegation concluded its two-day visit to Karachi on Sunday after reviewing investment opportunities across multiple sectors with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
Investment projects highlighted
During the second day, the delegation met Sindh provincial ministers to discuss potential investment in major development projects. The discussions covered opportunities at Bin Qasim Industrial Park, Karachi Industrial Park, and other proposed initiatives.
Moreover, officials briefed the delegation on the Sindh Business One-Stop Shop, Keti Bandar Port, the NED Tech Park, and the proposed Sindh International Financial Centre. They outlined each project’s objectives and investment potential.
Focus on key economic sectors
Meanwhile, the delegation also met representatives of the Pakistan Business Council to explore opportunities in capital markets, agriculture, textiles, energy, minerals, and healthcare.
Furthermore, members of the American delegation expressed interest in Pakistanโs improving investment climate and expanding business prospects across various industries.
Business leaders also emphasized the importance of investor confidence, policy continuity, and simplified business procedures. They acknowledged the Special Investment Facilitation Councilโs role in facilitating investment and supporting economic development across the country.
