Khuzdar: US Acting Ambassador Natalie Baker has strongly condemned the tragic bombing in Khuzdar that claimed the lives of five people, including three schoolchildren, and left several others injured.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Baker called the attack โmerciless and diabolical,โ adding that the loss of innocent young lives was โunfathomable.โ She offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
โNo child should ever live in fear of going to school,โ Baker stated, affirming that the United States stands with those committed to ending violence and promoting peace in Pakistan.
The attack occurred near Zero Point on the Karachi-Quetta National Highway, a busy intersection in Khuzdar, when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device hidden in a parked vehicle just as a school bus carrying children was passing by.
Local authorities confirmed that the blast resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals, including three students, and caused injuries to several others.
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation and renewed concerns about the safety of children in conflict-affected areas. Ambassador Baker reiterated the United States’ support for efforts to build a safer, more secure future for all Pakistanis, especially its most vulnerable citizens.
