Security forces killed two wanted terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Dalbandin, Balochistan, on Friday, October 16.
The operation targeted a suspected militant hideout in the Killi Sardar Hashim area. Security personnel carried out the action after receiving intelligence about the presence of the wanted individuals.
Officials said the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and protect civilians across the province.
Suspects Accused Of Attacking Highway Travellers
According to security sources, the two slain militants allegedly harassed passengers travelling along the Quetta-Taftan Highway and spread fear among local communities.
Furthermore, investigators linked the suspects to incidents involving the burning of commercial vehicles and passenger trucks along the highway. These attacks reportedly disrupted transportation and threatened commercial activities on an important regional route.
The highway serves as a key connection for passengers and goods moving through Balochistan. Consequently, attacks on vehicles can create security concerns for travellers, transporters and businesses operating in the region.
Security Forces Continue Counterterrorism Operations
Security forces reiterated their commitment to tackling militant groups and preventing attacks against civilians. They also stressed that operations would continue against individuals involved in violence and activities threatening public safety.
Meanwhile, authorities continue to monitor security threats across Balochistan, where law enforcement agencies regularly conduct intelligence-led operations against suspected militant networks.
The latest operation highlights continuing efforts to disrupt militant activities and improve security along important transport routes. However, authorities have not publicly disclosed further details about the identities of the two individuals killed.
Security personnel remain focused on identifying and targeting suspected militants responsible for attacks, intimidation and damage to public and commercial infrastructure. Officials maintain that these efforts aim to restore peace and protect communities throughout the province.
