A suspected food poisoning incident in Lahore’s Harbanspura area has claimed the lives of two children, while their parents remain critically ill.
According to police, the family fell sick after allegedly eating leftover aloo gobi prepared the previous night.
The couple and their two children developed serious health complications shortly after consuming the food.
Children Die Despite Medical Treatment
The affected family members were immediately shifted to a hospital for emergency care.
Police confirmed that the two children died during treatment. They were identified as Qadeer and Asma.
The children’s parents are still in critical condition and continue receiving medical attention.
Forensic Teams Investigate Food Samples
A crime scene unit and forensic experts visited the family’s residence to collect food samples.
The collected samples will be examined to determine whether the leftover food caused the suspected poisoning.
The Food Department has also been contacted to assist authorities in identifying the exact cause of the incident.
