Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç, known for Kuruluş Osman, was found dead at his Istanbul home. He was 51 years old.
Kılıç’s girlfriend, Özlem E., reportedly found him motionless inside his Kağıthane apartment. She had entered using her own key after failing to contact him since September 3.
Police Investigate Actor’s Unexpected Death
Özlem E. reportedly found Kılıç unresponsive in an armchair in his living room. She immediately contacted Turkey’s 112 Emergency Call Center after finding that he was not breathing.
Medical teams arrived at the apartment and confirmed the actor’s death. Police subsequently launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Initial examinations reportedly found no obvious signs of physical assault or open wounds. However, some Turkish media reports mentioned possible bruising around his eyes, arms and legs.
Authorities have not officially confirmed the reported bruising. Meanwhile, investigators transferred Kılıç’s body to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
Autopsy to Determine Exact Cause
The autopsy will help authorities establish the exact cause of Kılıç’s death. For now, officials are treating the death as unexplained and continuing their investigation.
Özlem E. reportedly told police that Kılıç had been suffering from lymphatic cancer. However, authorities have not confirmed whether the reported illness contributed to his death.
Kılıç gained recognition among Pakistani viewers through his role as Michael Kosses in Kuruluş Osman. His sudden death has prompted sadness among fans familiar with his work.
Authorities are expected to provide further details after completing the forensic examination. Until then, the exact circumstances surrounding the actor’s death remain unclear.
