A quiet evening transformed into a nightmare for a family in Karachi. An unidentified motorcyclist abducted a two-year-old boy from outside his home. The incident occurred in a private housing society on Manghopir Road. Consequently, the brazen act triggered widespread panic and intense protests across the locality.
The Disappearance of Azan Ali
The victim is a toddler named Azan Ali. He was playing peacefully outside his house on Sunday night. According to local sources, the incident happened at approximately 8:40 PM.
The child was outside with his mother. However, the kidnapping took place during a very brief window of time. The mother stepped inside the house for a moment to change her footwear. Unfortunately, the child was nowhere to be found upon her return.
Investigation and CCTV Evidence
Law enforcement agencies quickly responded to the emergency. They successfully obtained closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the area. The video clip clearly captures a motorcyclist riding out of the housing society with the toddler. To conceal his identity, the rider wore a helmet.
Following the incident, the Manghopir police registered a formal kidnapping case. They filed the report on the complaint of the child’s father, Wahab Ali. Officials are currently tracing the suspect.

Residents Demand Swift Justice

Local women and children heavily attended the demonstration to show solidarity. The protestors blocked the main thoroughfare. They are demanding immediate and actionable steps from higher authorities to recover the minor and apprehend the perpetrator.
