LAHORE: A man allegedly shot dead his wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law in Pasrur after a domestic dispute linked to TikTok videos turned violent late Sunday night. The shocking triple murder occurred in the suburban village of Digri within the limits of Phalwara Police Station, according to local police and residents.
Police officials said the accused, identified as Mudassar, reportedly had frequent arguments with his in-laws over his wifeโs social media activity. Residents revealed that his 26-year-old wife, Saba, regularly posted TikTok videos, which the suspect strongly opposed. Tensions between the two families had reportedly intensified during recent weeks.
Dispute escalates into deadly shooting
According to initial investigations, Mudassar visited his in-lawsโ house on Sunday night, where another heated argument erupted. Shortly afterward, he allegedly opened fire on family members inside the house. As a result, Saba died on the spot along with her 50-year-old mother, Fehmida, and 23-year-old brother, Sufyan Mushtaq.
Witnesses stated that panic spread throughout the neighborhood after gunshots echoed in the area. Furthermore, residents immediately informed the police about the tragic incident.
Police launch investigation after suspect escapes
A heavy police contingent reached the crime scene soon after the attack. Officers shifted the bodies into custody and transferred them for legal procedures. Meanwhile, investigators collected evidence from the house and recorded statements from witnesses.
Police sources confirmed that Mudassar fled the area with several companions after committing the crime. Authorities have launched raids to arrest the suspect and his alleged accomplices. Officials also stated that investigators are examining all aspects of the case to determine further details behind the murders.
