In a tragic turn of events on a Saturday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, near the Rashakai interchange in Nowshera, at least three lives were lost, and several individuals, including women, sustained injuries when a speeding passenger bus overturned on the Motorway (M1).
The bus, en route from Lahore to Peshawar, met with the accident during a troubling episode as the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle amid a heated altercation with the conductor.
Rescue teams were quick to respond to the bus accident, and the three casualties, along with the 32 injured, including 14 women and 10 children, were transported to medical facilities in Mardan Medical Complex and Qazi Medical Hospital, Nowshera. The victims of the crash included the bus driver, the conductor, and a female passenger, as per reports.
Earlier, tragedy struck in Hub, where a passenger van transporting devotees to the Shah Noorani Shrine was involved in a fatal accident, resulting in one fatality and injuries to 25 individuals. The incident occurred near Weirab Naddi, prompting a rapid response from rescue officials who promptly transported the injured to nearby hospitals.

These unfortunate events underscore the pressing need for heightened safety measures on roads to prevent further tragedies and protect the lives of commuters.
