The wait is finally over for Mirzapur fans as the trailer for Mirzapur: The Movie has arrived. The much-anticipated film brings the popular crime franchise to cinemas after nearly eight years on Prime Video.
Produced by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, the movie will release nationwide on September 4, 2026. It will arrive in both Hindi and Telugu, expanding the franchise to a bigger theatrical audience.
The trailer immediately returns viewers to the brutal world of Mirzapur. Familiar faces, intense rivalries and explosive action suggest that the battle for power is far from finished.
Kaleen Bhaiya Returns With His Gaddi
Pankaj Tripathi returns as Kaleen Bhaiya, while Ali Fazal reprises his role as Guddu Pandit. Divyenndu also makes his highly anticipated comeback as Munna Tripathi.
Kaleen Bhaiya sets the tone from the opening moments. He reiterates the brutal rules surrounding Mirzapur’s throne and explains that power depends on fear and physical strength.
He also suggests that death becomes closely connected with anyone who takes the throne. From there, the trailer moves rapidly through gunfights, confrontations and escalating power struggles.
The familiar dialogue-heavy style also returns. That combination helped make the original series a major part of Indian popular culture.
Munna Bhaiya’s Comeback Raises Excitement
One of the trailer’s biggest highlights is Munna Bhaiya’s return. Divyenndu’s character became one of the franchise’s most recognisable figures, making his comeback particularly exciting for fans.
Meanwhile, Kaleen Bhaiya and Guddu Pandit remain central to the ongoing struggle for control. Their rivalry appears set to drive much of the film’s story.
The movie follows the success of Mirzapur Season 3. Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment announced the theatrical project after the third season, taking the franchise beyond its OTT roots.

The wider cast includes Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik and Sheeba Chaddha.
Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anjum Sharma, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Pramod Pathak, Shaji Chaudhary and Satendra Soni also join the cast.
