The much-anticipated web series The Pink Shirt is set to release on April 24, 2026, marking the on-screen return of Wahaj Ali alongside Sajal Aly in one of the most-awaited digital dramas in recent years.
Initially announced in October 2023 and screened at the SXSW Sydney Film Festival the same year, the series will now premiere on the Begin Watch platform after a prolonged delay that has heightened audience anticipation. Directed by Kashif Nisar and written by Bee Gul, the eight-episode drama explores modern relationships through a grounded, character-driven narrative.
In the series, Sajal Aly plays Sophia, while Wahaj Ali portrays Umer, with the story focusing on emotional complexity, love, heartbreak, and personal growth. Moreover, the drama adopts a reflective tone rather than relying on conventional storytelling techniques.
