KARACHI: Members of the Bohra community in Karachi celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Thursday with religious fervour and traditional enthusiasm.
The main Eid congregation was held at Taheri Mosque in Saddar, where a large number of men, women, and children gathered to offer prayers.
Authorities ensured tight security arrangements for the occasion. Police and other law enforcement agencies were heavily deployed in and around the ุงูู ุณุฌุฏ เคชเคฐเคฟเคธเคฐ, while strict monitoring was implemented at all entry and exit points to maintain order.
Following the prayers, religious scholars delivered sermons emphasising the spiritual significance of Eidul Fitr and the broader teachings of Islam. Special prayers were also offered for the countryโs peace, stability, and prosperity.
Meanwhile, additional Eid congregations were organised in several other parts of the city, including Pan Mandi, Soldier Bazaar, Baloch Colony, and Haidery. These gatherings reflected the communityโs unity and commitment to religious traditions.
Overall, the celebrations remained peaceful, with participants expressing gratitude and joy on the occasion while observing customary rituals with devotion.
