Thailand has imposed a curfew in five districts of Trat province as clashes with Cambodia intensified along their disputed border.
The move comes despite a US-brokered ceasefire announcement earlier this week.
Military and civilian authorities warned residents to stay indoors while operations continue to secure affected areas.
The conflict, reignited in May after the death of a Cambodian soldier, has displaced hundreds of thousands of people on both sides of the border.
Rear Admiral Surasant Kongsiri, Thai Defence Ministry spokesman, confirmed that hostilities persisted even after Cambodia reiterated willingness for a ceasefire.
He stated that Thailand remains open to diplomatic solutions, but Cambodia must first halt hostile actions.

Thai forces recently destroyed a bridge used by Cambodia to deliver heavy weapons and launched operations targeting pre-positioned artillery in Koh Kong province.
In response, Cambodia accused Thailand of striking civilian infrastructure, escalating tensions in the region.
The imposed curfew in Trat province excludes major tourist islands Koh Chang and Koh Kood, while a similar curfew in Sakeo province remains in effect.
Both nations have exchanged heavy-weapons fire at multiple points along their 817-kilometre border since Monday.
This marks some of the most intense fighting since a five-day clash in July, previously mediated by US and Malaysian officials.

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he had spoken to Thailand’s caretaker Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Premier Hun Manet.
Trump said both sides had agreed to cease all shooting, though on Saturday, Anutin declared that Thai forces would continue operations until threats to territory and citizens are neutralized.
A White House spokesperson emphasized that the US expects all parties to honor commitments and will hold responsible those who hinder peace efforts.
