A 15-year-old madrassa student was allegedly strangled to death by two classmates in Faisalabad. Consequently, police arrested both suspects during the investigation.
The victim, identified as Shoaib, studied at a seminary in Allama Iqbal Colony. Police said the suspects later dumped his body in a drain.
Authorities added the accused initially tried to blame a seminary teacher.
Suspects Confess During Investigation
Police launched an investigation after Shoaib’s family reported him missing. Earlier, Batala Colony Police had registered a kidnapping case.
During questioning, both suspects allegedly confessed to the murder. They also led investigators to the location where the body was dumped.
Following the confession, police added Section 302 to the FIR. Investigators continue collecting evidence to complete the case.
Another Seminary Case Under Investigation
The incident follows another recent case involving a seminary in Lahore. Police arrested a Qari accused of torturing a 12-year-old student to death.
According to police, the accused allegedly assaulted Ali Haider for missing a religious gathering. The child reportedly suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured arm.
Police said the accused later sent the injured boy home without informing his family. However, the child later died after reaching a local hospital.
Authorities said investigations continue in both cases. They also pledged to complete legal proceedings and ensure justice for the victims’ families.
