Pakistan has introduced a new passport delivery service designed to make the document collection process more convenient for citizens.
The initiative, called “Passport Aapki Dehleez Par” (Passport at Your Doorstep), allows applicants to receive their passports at their preferred address instead of visiting passport offices for collection.
The service has been launched through a collaboration between TCS and the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP).
Officials believe the initiative will improve public service delivery while offering greater convenience to passport applicants across the country.
Service Officially Launched
The new service was formally introduced during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports.
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between both organizations.
Participants also reviewed measures to modernize passport services and improve operational efficiency.
Additionally, they discussed ways to enhance the overall experience for citizens applying for passports.
Secure Delivery Remains the Top Priority
TCS emphasized that secure handling of passports remains a key objective of the partnership.
Chief Executive Officer Hassan Raza Leghari highlighted the company’s commitment to reliable public service delivery.
He said, “TCS is proud to partner with the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports in delivering an essential public service directly to citizens’ doorsteps. Passports are highly confidential and important documents, and leveraging our nationwide logistics network and service excellence, we are committed to ensuring every passport reaches its recipient safely, securely, and on time.”
According to the company, its nationwide logistics network will help ensure timely and secure deliveries across Pakistan.
Citizens Expected to Benefit From Greater Convenience
Officials believe the initiative will reduce the need for applicants to make additional visits to passport offices.
As a result, citizens will be able to receive their passports through a more streamlined process.
The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports also highlighted the importance of improving accessibility for passport applicants.
Director General Immigration & Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa said, “The launch of the Passport at Your Doorstep service reflects our commitment to making passport services more accessible, convenient, and efficient for citizens. By delivering passports directly to applicants’ homes, we are reducing unnecessary visits to passport offices while ensuring a secure and seamless collection process.”
The new system is expected to make passport collection easier while maintaining security throughout the delivery process.
Step Towards Modern Public Service Delivery
The launch of Passport Aapki Dehleez Par represents another effort to modernize government services in Pakistan.
Officials say the initiative combines secure document handling with nationwide logistics support.
Consequently, applicants can expect a more reliable passport collection experience.
The partnership also reflects broader efforts to improve citizen-focused services through efficient and secure delivery systems.
With passports delivered directly to applicants’ preferred addresses, the initiative aims to provide a more convenient and trusted service for people across Pakistan.
