A Sydney court has dismissed a defamation case against Australian actress Rebel Wilson, bringing an end to the legal dispute on Wednesday.
Wilson, known for films such as “Bridesmaids” and “Pitch Perfect,” faced allegations from actress Charlotte MacInnes over comments shared on social media.
The case involved Instagram posts and statements by Wilson. These comments suggested that MacInnes changed her account of an alleged sexual harassment incident to benefit her career.

The Federal Court examined statements related to an incident during the filming of Wilson’s directorial debut, “The Deb.”
The dispute focused on an event involving MacInnes and a female producer. The two women reportedly shared a bath in an apartment after swimming at Bondi Beach during production.
MacInnes argued that Wilson’s comments damaged her reputation. However, the court did not accept the defamation claim.
Justice Elizabeth Raper dismissed the case on Wednesday. She also ordered MacInnes to pay the legal costs linked to the proceedings.
