A sessions court in Sukkur has sentenced a father and son to 11 life terms each for the brutal murder of 11 members of their own family. The verdict was announced by the Additional Sessions Judge in a case that has haunted the Pano Aqil community for five years.
The convicted individuals, Wahabullah Indhar and his son Kaleemullah Indhar, were found guilty of slitting the throats of their family members in a shocking and violent incident. Three other accused in the case were acquitted due to insufficient evidence.
The victims included Wahabullahโs wife, Ruqayya, and their children: Iqra (18), Isra (8), Sariya (6), Hajani (5), Asad (4), and Ahsan (3). The killings also claimed Wahabullahโs daughter-in-law, Naseema (19), granddaughter Nazia (3), and his one-year-old grandson, Ali. The horrifying nature of the crime, which targeted women and children, has left a deep scar on the local community.
Following the massacre, the police arrested Wahabullah and his four sons.
