Pakistan Science Foundation has announced an exciting opportunity for young science students. Pakistani students can now apply for the Asian Science Camp 2026. The event will take place from August 2 to August 8 at the University of Hong Kong.
This programme offers global exposure. It also allows students to connect with top scientists. Therefore, it is considered one of the most valuable science events in Asia.
What is Asian Science Camp?
The Asian Science Camp is an annual international event. It brings together bright students from different countries. Participants share ideas and present their research. They also attend lectures by leading scientists.
Moreover, students take part in discussions and scientific demonstrations. These activities help improve knowledge and confidence. As a result, students gain real-world learning experience.
In addition, the programme includes educational visits. Students explore research centres, laboratories, and universities. They also visit industrial sites. This gives them practical insight into scientific work.
Sponsored Seats for Pakistani Students
PSF will sponsor five students for this camp. The selection process will be competitive. However, it will be based strictly on merit.
This initiative aims to promote science education in Pakistan. It also encourages young students to pursue careers in science and technology.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet specific requirements. First, applicants must be between 17 and 22 years old by July 31. Both male and female students can apply.
Furthermore, students must be enrolled in science education. Those studying in 11th or 12th grade are eligible. Similarly, university students in their first or second semester can also apply.
Applicants must have strong academic performance. They should show good results in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Therefore, only serious and capable students should apply.
Selection Process
The selection process includes two stages. First, shortlisted candidates will take a written test. This test will take place in major cities like Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, and Sukkur.
After that, successful candidates will attend a final interview in Islamabad. A panel of experts will assess their performance. Finally, five students will be selected.
However, students must cover their own travel costs. No travel or daily allowance will be provided for tests or interviews.
Application Procedure
Students need to follow clear steps. First, download the application form from the PSF website. Then, fill it carefully with correct details.
After that, send the completed form in hard copy to the PSF office in Islamabad. The envelope must clearly mention โASC-2026 Competition.โ
Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Therefore, students should double-check all documents before submission.
Deadline and Contact Details
The application deadline has been extended to April 25. This gives students more time to apply.
For further information, students can contact PSF via email or phone. They should apply as soon as possible to avoid last-minute issues.
Overall, this is a great opportunity. It allows Pakistani students to represent their country. It also helps them learn from global scientific leaders.
