A powerful windstorm and heavy rain claimed one life and injured dozens of people in Faisalabad and Jhang. Rescue officials responded to multiple emergencies as severe weather disrupted normal life across both districts.
Authorities remained on high alert as adverse weather conditions continued affecting different parts of the region.
Woman Killed As Roof Collapses In Faisalabad
According to rescue officials, strong winds and heavy rain triggered seven separate incidents across Faisalabad. Fifteen people suffered injuries after walls collapsed in six different locations throughout the city.
Meanwhile, a woman lost her life in the Ghaziabad area when the roof of a house collapsed. The severe weather caused the structure to cave in suddenly.
Rescue teams immediately reached the affected locations after receiving emergency calls. They rescued the injured from the debris and shifted them to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Officials continued monitoring weather-related emergencies across the city as conditions remained unstable.
Windstorm Injures Nine People In Jhang
Meanwhile, strong winds and rainfall also caused widespread damage in Jhang and surrounding areas. Nine people, including five women, sustained injuries during separate weather-related incidents.
Rescue sources said collapsing signboards, walls, rooftops and solar panel structures caused several injuries. Emergency teams provided immediate assistance to those affected.
Additionally, four people, including three women, suffered injuries in Mandi Shah Jewana. The victims were hurt after a house roof collapsed during the windstorm.
Rescue officials remained alert throughout the day to respond quickly to further emergencies. They urged residents to remain cautious while severe weather continued across the affected districts.
