This feat places Afridi in an exclusive club of international cricketers. He becomes only the fourth player in the history of the sport to take 100 wickets in all three formats—T20Is, ODIs, and Tests—joining the ranks of New Zealand’s Tim Southee, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, and Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga. These cricketers have cemented their legacy as some of the best in the world.
Afridi’s success in the T20I format complements his impressive records in other formats. He has taken 112 wickets in ODIs and 116 wickets in Test matches, showcasing his versatility and ability to perform at the highest level across all formats.
