ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan national cricket team arrived in Colombo in preparation for the Asia Cup, where they are set to engage in a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
The group departing for Sri Lanka included Salman Ali Agha, Abdullah Shafique, Faheem Ashraf, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Tayyab Tahir, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Wasim Jr.
Those who participated in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) – including Captain Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Haris, Fakhar Zaman, and Imamul Haq – will subsequently join the squad to confront Afghanistan.
The first ODI match between Pakistan and Afghanistan is scheduled for August 22. Team Director Mickey Arthur is expected to join the squad on August 23.
