Sources suggest that Lahore is likely to host four matches of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, with the possibility of using the city as a neutral venue. Karachi and Rawalpindi are also expected to host three matches each.
If India does not make it to the final, Lahore is anticipated to host the decisive match.
Earlier today, the ICC confirmed that during the 2024-2027 rights cycle, matches between India and Pakistan in ICC events will be played at neutral venues, regardless of the host country. This includes the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled for February and March in Pakistan, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 in India, and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Additionally, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028, with the neutral venue policy also in effect.
