The former West Indies captain Daren Sammy and South African batting legend Hashim Amla met Chief of Armed Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday. Both foreign players were accompanied by the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi, and former Pakistan cricketer, Mohammad Akram.
General Bajwa commended the dignitaries for their contributions for bringing international cricket to Pakistan and being the ambassadors of peace. COAS congratulated the cricketers on success and growth of Pakistan Super League (PSL) and expressed hope that it recommences early for much awaited jubilation of entire country.
Visiting foreign cricketers also shared the experience of their visits to different parts of Pakistan and seeing Pakistan as a beautiful and peaceful country.
