LOS ANGELES: Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has opened to a record-breaking global box office haul of $927 million, making it one of the biggest film debuts in cinematic history.
The latest installment in the blockbuster superhero franchise earned $355 million across the United States and Canada during its opening weekend, while international markets contributed an additional $572 million, according to studio figures.
The film secured the second-highest opening weekend ever, both domestically and worldwide, trailing only Avengers: Endgame, which set the benchmark in 2019.
The impressive performance further strengthens the global appeal of Marvel’s iconic web-slinger and marks another major commercial success for Sony Pictures.

According to industry tracking data from Rentrak, the film also delivered the biggest domestic opening since the COVID-19 pandemic and now ranks as the second-largest opening weekend ever in North America.
