A speeding bus struck a motorcycle carrying two brothers in Karachi’s Bilal Colony, Korangi, killing one and injuring the other.
According to police, the deceased was identified as 38-year-old Rashid. His brother said Rashid and Masood were travelling to the NADRA Mega Centre when the bus hit their motorcycle.
The collision left Rashid dead, while Masood sustained injuries in the accident. The injured brother was shifted for medical treatment following the incident.
Family Runs Electronics Shop In Area
According to their brother Arshad, the family operates an electronics shop in Burma Colony. He said the brothers also lived in the same area.
Arshad said the two brothers were on their way to the NADRA Mega Centre when the speeding bus collided with their motorcycle.
Police reached the scene following the accident and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities also took action against the driver allegedly involved in the collision.
Police Arrest Bus Driver After Crash
Police said they arrested the bus driver allegedly responsible for the accident. The driver was taken into custody for further investigation.
The bus was also seized and shifted to the police station along with the driver. Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash and the events leading up to the fatal collision.
The incident adds to concerns over road safety in Karachi, where traffic accidents involving motorcycles and public transport vehicles remain a recurring issue.
