ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq announced that a Gaza march would take place outside the US consulate on October 29 (Sunday).
During a press conference held in Lahore on Tuesday, Haq urged people to participate in the Gaza march to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinians.
He stated, “The United States is supervising Israel in its actions against the Palestinian people, subjecting them to violence. It is the responsibility of the international community to take action to halt Israeli atrocities.”
The Palestinians remain confined within their own territories, and wherever there is unrest in the world, the US bears full responsibility. The US is entirely responsible for collaborating with Israel in using violence against the Palestinians.
In a separate event, the JI senior leader Hafiz Naeemur Rehman had previously announced a solidarity rally with the Palestinians in Karachi on October 15 (Sunday). During a press conference in Karachi, Naeem criticized the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), stating, “The OIC has remained silent on the issue after passing a single condemnation resolution.”
He called on the country’s government to actively deploy the army to assist the Palestinians during these challenging times.

Meanwhile, legendary pacer, when analyzing Pakistan’s performance on the show ‘The Pavilion’ on Asports, revealed that for two years, the team had not followed any fitness criteria, despite players gaining weight.
He stated, “Fitness is crucial for fielding. I support Misbah because he implemented these criteria during his coaching tenure, even though the players disliked it. But it has yielded results.”
Wasim Akram emphasized that players must deliver because they are being paid for their performance.
Regarding the national cricket team’s prospects in the ongoing tournament, he expressed doubt about their chances of reaching the quarter-finals, saying, “It’s a big ‘maybe.’”
