Who Can Apply for the Sindh HEC Research Grant?
The program is open to full-time regular faculty members holding PhD, FCPS, MCPS, or FRCS qualifications.
Applicants must be serving at a public sector university or degree-awarding institute in Sindh. In addition, they must hold their positions under the BPS or TTS system.
Each researcher can submit only one SRSP project as Principal Investigator (PI). Furthermore, a researcher can hold only one SRSP grant at a time as a Principal Investigator.
Faculty members who received this opportunity or award during the previous two years cannot apply for the current program. This condition is included in the 2026-27 advertisement.

What Research Areas Will Receive Preference?

In addition, proposals involving emerging technologies and educational reforms are highlighted under the call.

The current funding call follows earlier rounds of the Sindh Research Support Program. According to Sindh HEC, the program approved 57 projects during 2025-26, distributing Rs. 111.4 million in funding.
