ISLAMABAD: The Special Investment Facilitation Council has launched a digital ticketing hub. It aims at streamlining investor queries and requests in an organized and transparent manner.
The centralised platform aims to make investor facilitation faster, more coordinated and transparent, according to an official statement.
Through the new system, investors can submit queries, lodge requests and track their progress through a single digital channel. The platform also supports systematic processing and follow-up by monitoring requests from initiation through subsequent stages of engagement.
Digital Platform to Improve Investor Services
According to SIFC, the ticketing hub provides a structured workflow for handling investor concerns through relevant channels. The platform brings investor requests into one coordinated system, improving case tracking and visibility of request status. It also allows investors to remain informed about developments concerning their submitted requests.
Meanwhile, SIFC Secretary Jamil Qureshi recently briefed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Division about the council’s investment pipeline.
He said SIFC had developed an investment pipeline worth around $40 billion across several key sectors.
These sectors include industry, oil and gas, railways, roads, power, telecommunications, information technology, pharmaceuticals, tourism and agriculture.
The development comes as Pakistan seeks to increase investment and accelerate stalled projects through improved coordination.
SIFC Pushes Stalled Investment Projects
During the committee meeting, members also questioned the feasibility of Pakistan’s $60 billion export target for 2030. The committee termed the target unrealistic because of high input costs, including gas and electricity prices. It also cited tight monetary policy and high taxation as factors affecting export competitiveness.
Moreover, SIFC informed the committee that the prime minister had directed officials to actively pursue stalled projects involving the UAE and other countries. The council said authorities would work to move delayed projects towards implementation through stronger coordination and facilitation.
The new ticketing hub is therefore expected to provide investors with a clearer mechanism for raising concerns and monitoring their requests.
