PM Highlights Role of Armed Forces in National Security
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Command and Staff College in Quetta and addressed faculty members and student officers during an official engagement focused on defence and strategic affairs.
During his address, the Prime Minister praised the professionalism and operational readiness of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He acknowledged their continued sacrifices in protecting national sovereignty and maintaining internal stability.
He paid tribute to the martyrs of the nation and commended the unwavering commitment of military personnel serving in challenging security environments across the country.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the armed forces remain a key pillar in safeguarding Pakistanโs territorial integrity and ensuring long-term peace.
Tribute to Military Operations and National Security Efforts
Referring to recent military developments, the Prime Minister highlighted what he described as Pakistanโs success in Marka-e-Haq. He credited the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for strategic planning and operational coordination.
He stated that Pakistan demonstrated responsible restraint and effective escalation control in response to unprovoked aggression from India. He added that Pakistanโs position received recognition from the international community for its balanced and measured response.
The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the countryโs commitment to defending its sovereignty at all costs. He stressed that any future misadventure would be met with a strong and decisive response.
He further noted that ongoing security operations, referred to as Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, continue with full intensity. These operations target militant networks and aim to dismantle hideouts and support structures used for terrorist activities.
According to official remarks, the operation focuses on protecting civilians and ensuring the safety of lives and property across vulnerable regions of the country.
The Prime Minister also reiterated Pakistanโs consistent diplomatic support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine. He emphasized that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice for peaceful resolution of long-standing international disputes.
Military Diplomacy and Regional Stability Emphasized
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of military diplomacy and international cooperation during his visit. He noted the presence of student officers from friendly countries at the institution, calling it a symbol of strong regional ties.
He said Pakistan has made significant progress in positioning itself as a net regional stabilizer. He added that the country continues to contribute to peace, security, and development efforts beyond its borders.
The visit was attended by senior government officials, including the Federal Defence Minister, Interior Minister, Information Minister, and the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was received by senior military leadership, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Officials stated that such visits strengthen coordination between civilian leadership and the armed forces and reinforce national security priorities.
