ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has embarked on official visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Tรผrkiye from April 15 to 18, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and expand Pakistanโs diplomatic engagement on regional and global issues.
The prime minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi, reflecting the importance of the multi-country visit.
According to the Foreign Office of Pakistan, the visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar are primarily bilateral in nature. During these engagements, Shehbaz Sharif will meet the leadership of both countries to discuss ongoing cooperation as well as key regional peace and security issues.
Moreover, officials said the discussions will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships and enhancing collaboration in economic and political spheres. The engagements highlight Pakistanโs continued emphasis on deepening ties with Gulf nations.
Following his Gulf tour, the prime minister will travel to Tรผrkiye to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The high-level gathering brings together global leaders to deliberate on pressing international challenges.
During the forum, Shehbaz Sharif is expected to participate in the Leadersโ Panel, where he will present Pakistanโs perspective on major regional and global developments. In addition, he will hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event.
Notably, the prime minister is scheduled to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoฤan, along with several other world leaders attending the forum. These interactions are aimed at further strengthening Pakistanโs diplomatic outreach and reinforcing its role in regional dialogue.
