Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hailed the exceptional bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, describing it as unparalleled globally. Speaking in an interview with a Saudi TV channel, he emphasized the deep-rooted historical connections between the two nations, spanning centuries, and emphasized their shared cultural heritage.
During discussions at the World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Sharif commended the fruitful cooperation between the two countries, including agreements on training Saudi Air Force pilots. He reiterated the familial ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting their commitment to supporting each other in times of need.
Sharif also praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s achievements in the IT sector and expressed Pakistan’s interest in benefiting from Saudi expertise in this field. He outlined various areas of mutual interest and cooperation, particularly in discussions on solar energy investment during Pakistan’s delegation visit to Riyadh.
Turning to Pakistan’s economic potential, the Prime Minister emphasized the nation’s prospects for growth, particularly in agriculture, referring to it as “Pakistan Speed.” He credited Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman with transforming Saudi Arabia’s landscape and recognized his policies as inspirational for leaders worldwide.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif welcomed the historic opportunities for business communities from both nations to collaborate, foreseeing significant development and growth as a result. He highlighted the importance of increased business interactions, facilitated by visits from Saudi officials, including the Foreign Minister, in fostering stronger ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
