McDonald’s Pakistan Donates PKR 10 Million to Gaza Victims Amid Controversy
In another development, McDonald’s Pakistan has announced a substantial donation of PKR 10 million to support Gaza victims through the renowned Edhi Foundation. This philanthropic initiative coincides with the ongoing global controversy surrounding McDonald’s, stemming from its indirect provision of free meals to the Israeli occupation army.

In an official statement on its platform, McDonald’s Pakistan clarified its position, emphasizing that it operates as a locally managed entity with no affiliations to McDonald’s Israel. Furthermore, the company underscored its commitment to addressing the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza and its dedication to providing assistance to those affected by the long-standing conflict in the region.
The decision to contribute PKR 10 million is a gesture of solidarity with the victims of the Gaza conflict, demonstrating the local branch’s commitment to supporting those enduring the devastating consequences of the crisis.
Nevertheless, this gesture also highlights the broader controversy surrounding McDonald’s due to its involvement in offering complimentary meals to the Israeli occupation army. This matter has led to worldwide protests and boycott movements. Moreover, McDonald’s branches in various countries have taken swift action to distance themselves from the actions of the Israeli branch.
